TIME OUT!!
We are in need of a TIME OUT!!!
Therefore, on Friday, we leave for the beach. :o) My parents have never been to Destin, and they will be meeting us there. We love it in Destin in October - the crowds are thinner, and the weather is still very nice, not scorching.
As for the last week (or so) in review - We got our house plans in! It's actually the approval plans, the set we needed to make changes on before the final set is made. We thought we changed a lot, but our Master Materials Manager, Carmen, said our changes were pretty easy. We are getting very, very excited about the house building project. I will let myself get even more excited when the financial paperwork stuff is out of the way - that just keeps my stomach in knots! We are tentatively supposed to close on the construction loan and land in mid October, and close on our current house on Halloween!

Over the weekend we had a yard sale - even though it was advertised in the newspaper, it was a total bomb. Unfortunately, the city decided to close down the intersection into our subdivision just a few days before our sale. They had been working in the area for awhile, but it was at least passable up until then. So, there was so much work and effort put into the organizing and such and people who braved the construction actually had to pass "DO NOT ENTER" signs to get here - blech. We are hoping to move the sale to SIL's house in a few weeks.
Sunday was a terrific day. We went to Wade's company picnic - the first one they've had for families, and they did it well. It was a mini carnival, complete with cotton candy, sno cones, yummy food, blow up jumping things, and plenty of games and prizes for the kiddos. We played several rounds of bingo as well. It was so nice to "get away" for a bit and just focus on having fun. The kids have already told Daddy put in the order for another one next year!

wow, I am so envious of the beach time you have coming up! :O) SOrry about the yard sale, but the house stuff is moving along for you, and that sounds awwesome! I hope the next Yard Sale is easier for folks to get to!
That fair sounds like a blast, and I would have to put my vote in for a repeat next year too!
I have seen people advertise their yard sale by sending it to Rhonda and having her forward it to MC...maybe you would want to do that the next time or would that be awkward?
Just an idea:)
